Hello to my fabulous blog friends! I am looking to have some of your creativity rub off on me! I have a little cash set aside that I would like to use for fall decorations this year! I've never done fall decorations before, but I'd really like to. I'm not really into Halloween, so think just regular fall-that will take me all the way until Christmas decorating time! I would also love new and different ideas aside from carved pumpkins and wreaths on the door--love those ideas, but I already know them! I thinking about stealing this idea from my friend Jennifer! It's super cute!!!
Anyone else have any other fun fall ideas?

Hey Kristi! Leaf garlands are fun. You can string together fake or real ones to hang just about anywhere. You can also make tin can jack-o-lanterns:

My mom and I always used to make a scarecrow from thrift store clothing (flannel shirt, jeans, hat), stuffed with newspaper and topped with a fake pumpkin head. You can stick decorative straw or raffia in the ends of the sleeves and legs, and tie them off. It was always so much fun!
Seriously?! Don't you just LOVE it!! I'm the same way - don't decorate for Halloween (it doesn't last very long and I don't have a particular affinity for ghosts and witches), but I do fall stuff and leave it up until it's time to decorate for Christmas. Another couple of ideas: buy hurricane glass (they have them at the dollar store) and fill them with pinecones, fake leaves, acorns, little faux pumpkins, etc.) Have fun decorating!!
SImilar to Jennifer- I fill my apothecary jars (mine are from Home Goods- cheap!) with fake leaves, little pumpkins, a fall candle, candy corn or pumpkin candy, etc... I also tie cute ribbon around the jars or lids in fall colors/patterns. Another thing- replace your candles that sit on candlesticks with pumpkins! I use 'garland' on my mantle that's fall leaves. i LOVE the BAth and Body Works fall scents- I use the Wallflowers and candles!
